Market-specific production planning

T-shirt manufacturing planning for Portugal

Plan a T-shirt order for Portugal with a clear cut-and-sew brief, sample approvals, market checks and written project terms.

Specify fit, body and neck construction, fibre content, fabric weight and finish, size grading, artwork, labels, packing and destination. Fenalt reviews the brief and confirms product, material and process scope in writing.

Availability depends on category and construction. Ask Fenalt to confirm the requested product, fabric and process in writing before samples or production.

Import checks for Portugal

Classification and import conditions depend on the actual garment, fibre, construction, origin and trade terms. Check the current tariff with the official lookup and the buyer’s customs broker before estimating landed cost.

For T-shirts sold in Portugal, confirm the EU requirements for fibre-composition information and the language required by the destination market. Separately verify care instructions, origin marking, importer details and any other markings under the rules that apply to the specific product and transaction before approving the label.

For a knitted T-shirt, give the importer its fabric, fibre composition, construction, intended wearer group and garment details before classification. A tariff code or duty rate cannot be inferred from this page.

Portuguese label-language and TARIC review

For textile products with two or more textile components that have different fibre contents, give the importer verified composition for each component and confirm Portuguese fibre names under EU textile rules. Article 11 provides an exception for components that are not main linings and together represent less than 30% of the product total weight; ask the importer to confirm whether it applies to the actual garment before approving artwork. Check the garment code, origin and date in Portugal’s Pauta de Serviço for import measures; the portal says the lookup is informational and has no legal force. If classification remains uncertain, ask the broker whether to request an Informação Pautal Vinculativa (IPV); the portal describes an IPV as a binding classification decision for covered goods with three-year validity. Confirm the transaction’s VAT treatment with the importer.
