A localized project brief for activewear orders planned for Portugal, covering specifications, samples, inspections, export terms and import checks.
Send a tech pack with garment type, fibre blend, size range, construction, quantity per style, label brief and destination. Confirm product and process support in a written quotation before sampling.
Availability depends on category and construction. Ask Fenalt to confirm the requested product, fabric and process in writing before samples or production.
Keep the performance target measurable and tie each check to the approved tech pack and sample.

Import checks for Portugal
Classification and import conditions depend on the actual garment, fibre, construction, origin and trade terms. Check the current tariff with the official lookup and the buyer’s customs broker before estimating landed cost.
These sources are starting points for the buyer and importer. They do not establish a tariff rate or compliance result for an individual garment.
Local budgeting currency
EUR
Use Euro (EUR) for local planning. Confirm invoice currency, bank charges, deposits and payment milestones in Fenalt’s written quotation; payment terms are order-specific.
Portuguese label-language and TARIC review
For textile products with two or more textile components that have different fibre contents, give the importer verified composition for each component and confirm Portuguese fibre names under EU textile rules. Article 11 provides an exception for components that are not main linings and together represent less than 30% of the product total weight; ask the importer to confirm whether it applies to the actual garment before approving artwork. Check the garment code, origin and date in Portugal’s Pauta de Serviço for import measures; the portal says the lookup is informational and has no legal force. If classification remains uncertain, ask the broker whether to request an Informação Pautal Vinculativa (IPV); the portal describes an IPV as a binding classification decision for covered goods with three-year validity. Confirm the transaction’s VAT treatment with the importer.
Shipping and delivery terms
Before planning freight, ask Fenalt to confirm the available Incoterm, named place or port, responsibility for import clearance, duties and taxes, and any available transit estimate in the written quotation. Terms are order-specific.
Example: a buyer in Portugal budgeting a knitted performance legging can give a broker its knit construction, fibre mix and garment details for classification before estimating duty.
Confirm fibre-content, care, origin, importer and language labelling requirements for the finished product with the local authority and importer. Requirements can vary by product and market.
Planning information only. Verify current classification, origin treatment, taxes and product labelling with the importing authority, customs broker and buyer’s compliance adviser.
