Small runs · Netherlands
Small-batch clothing manufacturing for Dutch brands
A small run still needs clear product decisions: what is being made, in which variants, with which approvals, and for which delivery location? Fenalt reviews the brief and coordinates production with partners selected for each project.
Prepare a production briefDefining a small run
Start with quantities by style and variant
Fenalt's standard minimum order reference is 50 pieces per style. This is a starting point for a project enquiry, not confirmation that every combination of fabric, colour, size range or finish is feasible. Describe each style separately and confirm the applicable minimum for your project in the quotation.
Share the quantity by style, colour and size rather than only a collection total. This helps the project team assess material choices and plan the production run. Mark which variants are fixed and which may still change.
Brief for brands selling in the Netherlands
Make the first review specific
Send a tech pack or product description with drawings, construction details, points of measure, size chart, materials and colours. Include known fibre composition, fabric weight, trims and finish details where available. Flag missing information as open questions rather than treating assumptions as final.
Include these Netherlands-specific project inputs
- Units by style, colour and size
- Brand files and print or embroidery placement
- Label, hangtag and packaging preferences
- Intended sales market and requested product information
- Netherlands delivery location and target planning window
- Any tests, documents or inspection criteria to be reviewed
Identify who can approve artwork, samples and changes on behalf of your brand. EU Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 says textile fibre-composition labels or markings must be provided in the official language or languages of the Member State where products are offered to consumers, unless that State provides otherwise. Have a Netherlands product-labelling specialist confirm the Dutch wording and any applicable exceptions for your product and sales channel before approving the label. Read Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011.
From brief to production
Record decisions before the bulk run
Technical review
Fenalt reviews the product brief and coordinates questions about construction, material, variants and quantities with relevant project partners.
Sample and feedback
Fenalt coordinates sampling and prototype development. Keep feedback on fit, measurements, colour, material and branding tied to the correct brief version.
Written approval
Compare the approved sample with the final specification. Record measurements, materials, construction, artwork and acceptance criteria before bulk production is scheduled.
Production coordination and handover
Fenalt coordinates the agreed quality steps and handover under the order terms. Partner, location, shipping route and delivery point are confirmed project by project.
Quality agreement
Tie checks to the product specification
Agree measurement points and product-specific tolerances, material and colour references, construction, inspection stages and acceptance criteria in writing. Fenalt's current inspection reference is AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, Level II; it applies to an order only when confirmed in the agreed quality plan. It is sampling inspection, not inspection of every garment or a defect-free guarantee.
Tests, certificates, material inspection methods and needle or metal detection depend on the product and written order requirements. Fenalt coordinates them when confirmed for the project. Non-conformities are reviewed against the agreed standard, and suitable corrective action is coordinated with the production partner.
Fenalt provides managed apparel manufacturing and sourcing, working with factories, suppliers, material sources and production partners according to the project. The service coordinates work from technical review through production coordination to delivery; the partner, location and terms are set for the specific brief.
