Low-MOQ Clothing Manufacturing for Spanish Brands

Start with the units needed for each style, the sample decisions still open and the exact Spanish destination. Fenalt's standard reference is 50 pieces per style; the project quote confirms how it applies to the garment and its variations.

Style-level scope

Make the small-run brief specific

List units by style, colour and size, then attach the current tech pack, reference images and any approved sample. Include intended use, construction, fibre composition if known, fit, measurements, tolerances, trims, artwork, labels and packaging. Mark requirements as approved, provisional or open to alternatives. For any performance or environmental claim, specify the evidence or test method expected; a product description alone does not establish the performance or claims of the finished garment.

Name the people approving the design, sample, label, packaging, inspection and import documents. Include the target date and exact delivery destination. Fenalt coordinates manufacturing and sourcing with project-selected production partners; origin, available methods and terms depend on the brief. It does not claim factory ownership or manufacturing in Spain.

The current standard reference is 50 pieces per style. Ask the project team to confirm how it applies after reviewing the fabric, colour, construction, trims and size breakdown. Do not assume styles or colours can be pooled to meet the minimum. No project price or combination rule is established on this page.

Quantity to dispatch

Connect each quantity to an approval

  1. Review the style and feasibility

Send quantities by style, colour and size, product details and destination. Resolve open choices or identify them as provisional before treating the quote as final.

  2. Develop and approve a sample

The reference is 10–15 days for sample production, plus a separate 3–5 days for shipping. Confirm the start point, route and day-count basis. Approve against the agreed measurements, material, colour, construction and trims.

  3. Authorize bulk and export dispatch

Bulk production is referenced at 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. Confirm the controlling specification, written quality plan and change approvals.

These are production and sample-shipping references, not a guaranteed arrival date in Spain. Bulk transport, customs and final delivery are separate schedule items; ask the carrier or forwarder to confirm current route timing.

Written acceptance plan

Set the inspection plan before the run

Fenalt's reference is AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II, as applied under the written plan for the order. Agree the lot definition, inspection stage, sampling method, acceptance criteria and result reviewer. AQL is a sampling approach; it does not mean every garment is inspected or guarantee zero defects.

Set measurement points, units and tolerances. For the garments and materials in scope, agree whether shrinkage, colourfastness, seam strength, pilling, stretch recovery, opacity or print durability need evaluation. For a non-conformity, Fenalt reviews it against the agreed quality standard and coordinates appropriate corrective action with the production partner; the order documents determine the remedy.

Product review

Check label and product scope for the sales market

Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 covers textile fibre names and composition labelling for products within scope. For covered garments made available to consumers in Spain, Article 16(3) addresses official-language labelling, subject to national provisions. Confirm scope, exemptions, components, wording and languages before production. Read the textile regulation and Your Europe guidance.

Chemical restrictions and product-safety duties depend on garment, materials, intended use and operator role. Ask a qualified reviewer which evidence and records the actual product needs; this page does not determine compliance or testing scope. See ECHA REACH restrictions and the General Product Safety Regulation.

Destination-specific import checks

Name the Spanish destination before planning import

Spanish destinations differ in EU customs and VAT territory status. Use this distinction to direct questions to the importer or customs representative; it does not determine the process or amount for a specific shipment.

The European Commission territorial-scope table lists these distinctions. For Ceuta and Melilla, consult the Spanish Tax Agency on IPSI and its import guidance.

For the actual garment and import date, ask the importer or representative to verify classification, documented origin and current measures in the Commission's TARIC database. Origin follows applicable production rules, not simply dispatch location; see the Commission's origin guidance. This page gives no duty or tax rate, preference result or landed cost.

Quote and delivery point

Put commercial assumptions in writing

Fenalt's qualified references are DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight. Routing and terms depend on production origin, destination, shipment size and the agreed Incoterm. Ask the quote to name the exact place or port and assign transport, customs, duties, taxes, unloading and insurance. See ICC Incoterms® 2020. No DDP term is represented here.

Confirm currency, quote validity, payment milestones and other assumptions with Fenalt for the project. Spain's currency does not establish Fenalt's quote currency. A sample-shipping reference and export-dispatch reference do not predict bulk arrival in Spain.

For a project review, send the current tech pack, units by style/colour/size, sample or references, target date and exact destination through Fenalt's manufacturing intake.

Buyer questions

Questions before a small run

Can styles or colours be combined to meet the minimum?

Do not assume so. The standard reference is 50 pieces per style; the quote should confirm how it applies to the requested variations.

Do production references include delivery to Spain?

No. Sample shipping is a separate 3–5 day reference and bulk timing ends at export dispatch. Transport, customs and final delivery are separate.

Does AQL 2.5 mean every unit is inspected?

No. It is a sampling approach under the written plan agreed for the order, not unit-by-unit inspection or a zero-defect guarantee.
