Apparel Manufacturing for U.S. Brands

A clear production brief connects product requirements to sample approval, quality planning and the import handoff. Fenalt coordinates apparel manufacturing and sourcing with project partners selected for the brief; production origin and terms are confirmed for each order.

Share a production brief

Prepare a decision-ready production brief

For each style, assemble the current tech pack or specification, reference sample if available, intended use, construction, measurements, size range, material and finish requirements, branding, trims and packaging. Break quantities down by style, colour and size, and flag open choices separately from approved instructions. The buyer supplies and approves the production brief, measurements, materials, artwork, labels, size ratios and pre-production sample. Fenalt can review the brief and coordinate apparel manufacturing and sourcing with factories, suppliers, material sources and production partners selected for the project. Production origin, feasibility and terms depend on the confirmed requirements; Fenalt does not claim to own a U.S. factory.

Coordinate development through export dispatch

The work moves through linked approvals. Fenalt reviews technical requirements, coordinates material sourcing and sample development, records the buyer's sample feedback, and helps establish the approved pre-production baseline. Before bulk work, confirm measurements, construction, materials, colours, trims, artwork, size breakdown, packaging and any written inspection plan. Fenalt coordinates production and can provide on-site quality control. Any non-conformity is reviewed against the agreed criteria and the appropriate corrective action is coordinated with the production partner. If a specification changes after approval, document the revision and confirm its effect on materials, timing, inspection and cost before using it in production.

Fenalt's current planning references are 50 pieces per style as the standard MOQ, 10–15 days for sample production plus a separate 3–5 day sample-shipping reference, and 15–20 days for bulk production from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II applies only when specified in the written inspection plan; it is acceptance sampling, not inspection of every garment or a defect-free promise. These references require confirmation for the project and do not promise U.S. arrival dates.

Assign U.S. label and import checks

The Federal Trade Commission explains that most textile and wool products must disclose fibre content, country of origin and the identity of the manufacturer or another responsible business; covered apparel also has care-label requirements. Scope, exceptions and the responsible party depend on the product and transaction. Compare confirmed composition and care information with proposed artwork, then have a qualified U.S. reviewer check the exact garment and final label before approval. This page is a planning aid, not a compliance determination.

Imported textiles and apparel also raise Customs and Border Protection origin-marking and entry questions. Identify the importer and customs contact, and confirm the product description, origin support, classification, required entry information and filing roles for the actual shipment. Consult the current U.S. International Trade Commission Harmonized Tariff Schedule with a qualified adviser; this page gives no tariff code, duty rate, tax result or landed-cost figure.

Confirm delivery scope with the order

Fenalt's approved delivery references are DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight. Confirm the named destination or port, shipment size, routing, import-clearance responsibilities and agreed Incoterm in the project quotation. Origin, route and timing are project dependent. Do not infer a fixed U.S. shipping schedule or DDP service from these references.

Share the product specification, quantity breakdown, target destination, material requirements, approvals already completed and decisions still open through Fenalt's project intake. The team can review the brief and clarify which sourcing, sampling and production steps fit the requested product. See manufacturing capabilities and services for the broader scope.
