Verify each material before choosing a process
Stock versus custom
Ask whether the required color and construction are available from stock. Custom yarn or fabric may have separate minimums, development costs, approval steps, and scheduling.
Dye, print, and wash
Agree the target shade, sample or lab dip, colorfastness or shrinkage tests, and acceptance criteria. For printing, embroidery, or garment wash, verify material compatibility and approve a sample.
Labels and packing
Document care information, woven labels, hangtags, barcode, and carton needs. Confirm source, responsibility, and scope for each item.
Order-specific quality
Select the checks that answer real product risks
No single test or inspection threshold applies to every t-shirt. Agree the method, sample plan, tolerance, and acceptance criteria before bulk production.
Fabric and color
Define shade grouping and any wash, shrinkage, torque, or colorfastness test that matters to the product.
Seam and measurement
Review construction against the sample and compare measurements with the approved POMs and tolerances for each size. Specify any seam durability checks.
Decoration and final review
Check print registration, embroidery finish, label placement, packing, and other agreed details. Document defects, sampling method, inspector, and timing.

Compare the actual supplier plan with the destination
Supplier capability
Verify knit equipment, fabric sourcing, sewing setup, finishing, subcontracting, and current capacity. Review supplier and process handoffs against the order.
Minimums and schedule
Minimums depend on style, material, decoration, and supplier. Confirm sample, production, and delivery estimates after readiness, approvals, and capacity are known.
Customs and freight
Classification, origin, duty, and documents depend on product and destination. Confirm current treatment with customs or an adviser and request a route-specific carrier estimate.
