Retail dates differ by brand and collection. Work backward from the target in-market date and allow time for material, sample revisions, production, freight, customs, and contingency.
Sourcing and technical alignment
Review construction, Bill of Materials (BOM), Points of Measure (POM), material, and supplier fit against the brief. Confirm any technical-development deliverables.
Sample and sign-off
Agree sample type, revisions, and timing. Review fit, construction, hand-feel, and relevant performance against the approved specification before bulk work.
Quality plan
Record fabric checks, measurements, tolerances, defect categories, sampling, acceptance criteria, metal detection or packaging needs, and corrective steps where relevant. No universal AQL threshold applies.

Under DAP, confirm the named place and import-clearance responsibilities. FOB is for sea or inland-waterway transport only; confirm the port and allocation of costs and risk.
