Private Label Clothing for Singapore Brands

Plan the brand brief, product approvals, quality scope and Singapore import handoff before production begins.

Share a production brief

Turn a brand idea into a production brief

Private-label clothing carries a buyer's brand identity on a garment made to an agreed specification. For each style, describe garment category and intended use, fit and size range, construction, material and known fibre content, colours, trims, branding placement, label artwork and packaging. Separate confirmed requirements from ideas that still need a sample or feasibility review, and name who can approve changes.

Fenalt coordinates private-label apparel production through a managed manufacturing and sourcing process. Production facilities, suppliers, material sources and partners are selected for each project. Fenalt manages work from technical review through production coordination to delivery; it is not a factory directory or open marketplace and does not claim to own production facilities.

Include a current tech pack or reference files, quantities by style, colour and size, destination, desired timing and the controlling specification version. Reference images communicate intent but do not settle measurements, composition, construction or placement. Record those in the written brief and confirm them against an approved sample.

Make branding and approvals traceable

List labels, tags, artwork, prints, embroidery, trims and packaging that must carry the brand. Identify file versions, placement and buyer-supplied materials. Fenalt coordinates custom branding, labels and tags within a confirmed project scope; feasibility, supplier, material availability and commercial terms require review for the specific order.

Agree who reviews each sample stage and the criteria they will use. Review fit, measurements, colour, material hand-feel, construction, branding placement and packaging. Record accepted changes in a dated specification revision and keep the approved sample with it as the production reference. An image or informal message alone may leave scope unclear.

Confirm quantities, timing and quality

Fenalt's standard minimum order reference is 50 pieces per style. Confirm the style definition and quantity breakdown in the quotation; do not assume separate styles, colours or fabric requirements can be combined toward one minimum.

Sampling is estimated at 10–15 days for sample production plus a separate 3–5 days for shipping. Bulk production is estimated at 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. These are planning references, not Singapore arrival dates or unconditional delivery promises. Materials, approvals, revisions, partners and shipment arrangements can affect the schedule; confirm dates and scope for the order.

Before bulk production, define the approved sample, measurement points and tolerances, construction and material criteria, inspection scope, records and corrective-action process. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 General Inspection Level II applies only when included in the written inspection plan with its sampling method and acceptance limits. AQL is a sampling method; it does not mean every unit is inspected or guarantee defect-free production.

Fenalt provides on-site quality control during production. Non-conformities are reviewed against the agreed quality standard, and appropriate corrective action is coordinated with the production partner. Needle or metal detection can be incorporated when required by the product, buyer specification or production facility. Confirm the activities included in the order rather than assuming a universal inspection or testing package.

Confirm the shipment handover

Set out production origin, named destination, shipment size, documents, transport responsibility and agreed Incoterm in the order. DAP may be used for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight, subject to confirmation for the actual project. Terms depend on origin, destination, shipment size and the agreed Incoterm; they do not by themselves establish duty, tax, customs clearance, landed cost or an arrival date.

Plan the Singapore import handoff

Identify the buyer, consignee, importer and declaring agent, then assign responsibility for permits, declarations, documents and payments in the order. Singapore Customs states that an import permit is submitted through TradeNet. An importer may appoint a Declaring Agent or make declarations itself subject to registration and access requirements. The importer or agent should verify the route and any product-specific approvals for the actual goods.

Keep product descriptions, quantities, values, packing details and commercial documents consistent. Before dispatch, have the importer and declaring agent confirm current documents, authorizations, declaration responsibility and applicable destination product or label requirements. Those requirements depend on the goods and transaction.

Prepare the next review

Gather the current tech pack, style and variant quantities, material and branding decisions, label and packaging files, desired sample stage, Singapore consignee and importer details, and target timing. Mark approved decisions and open questions.
