Apparel Manufacturing for Singapore Brands
Turn a product brief or technical pack into a defined development and production plan, with sample approvals, quality expectations and the Singapore import handoff considered early.

Define the range before requesting feasibility
For each style, identify intended use, knit or woven construction, fit, size range, fibre and fabric details, colour, trims, branding and finish. A current tech pack is useful; reference images help communicate direction but do not replace measurements, construction notes or an approval standard. Separate confirmed requirements from open decisions, and state what evidence or testing a performance claim needs.
List quantities by style, colour and size, keeping the initial order separate from forecasts and possible repeats. Fenalt’s current standard minimum order quantity is 50 pieces per style. Confirm project feasibility, supplier minimums and pricing in the written quote; distinct styles cannot be assumed to combine toward a minimum.
A managed path from specification to dispatch
01
Technical review
Share the current specification, version, materials, construction, size range, colourways and target quantity. Flag open decisions before development.
02
Sourcing and sampling
Fenalt coordinates material sourcing and sample development with project partners. Confirm availability, capabilities, minimums and commercial assumptions for the order.
03
Approve the production baseline
Record the approved sample, measurements, material, trims, artwork, size breakdown, packaging and inspection instructions before bulk work begins.
04
Production and dispatch
Fenalt coordinates production and agreed quality activity. Confirm production origin, destination, route, schedule and Incoterm in the order plan.
Set quality expectations by product
Fenalt’s current inspection reference is AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II, subject to the plan agreed for the order. Define measurements, tolerances, inspection lot, defect classes and timing in the order plan. AQL is a sampling method; it does not mean every unit is inspected or defect-free.
Needle or metal detection can be included where required by the product, buyer specification or production facility. Specify any material test or inspection method, tested material and acceptance criteria in writing. Non-conformities are reviewed against the agreed standard and appropriate corrective action is coordinated with the production partner.
Confirm planning and commercial terms
Current planning references are 10–15 days for sample production plus a separate 3–5 day shipping estimate, and 15–20 days for bulk production from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. These are not delivery promises; confirm scope, start point, route and schedule for the project.
Fenalt’s current delivery references are DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight. Route and terms depend on production origin, destination, shipment size and the Incoterm agreed for the order. Confirm the named place or port, responsibilities, included services and exclusions in writing. Neither reference guarantees transit time, arrival date or total landed cost.
Keep approvals and documents aligned
The buyer supplies and approves the brief, measurements, materials, artwork, labels, size ratios and pre-production sample. Document approved changes and confirm their effects before production uses a revised specification.
Before dispatch, compare the final order details across the commercial invoice, packing list, transport document and permit information where applicable. Singapore Customs lists documents according to the procedure; the importer or Declaring Agent should check the specific shipment requirements.
