Managed apparel production · B2B uniforms

Custom uniform and workwear manufacturing

Uniform programs combine repeatable sizing, fabric performance, brand placement, and production planning. Fenalt’s managed model covers specification review, partner coordination, sampling, and agreed quality checks for the order.

Planning references include a 50-piece-per-style MOQ, 10–15 production days for sampling, and 15–20 bulk production days after pre-production sample approval. Confirm the actual quote and schedule.

Production scope

From a technical brief to a controlled order

The buyer and production team should agree the garment specification before sampling. The tech pack can define fabric weight, seam construction, stitch density, measurements, branding, and acceptance criteria.

  1. 01

    Specification review

Review tech pack, Points of Measure, seam construction, SPI, fabric GSM, and intended end use. Resolve missing details before sample approval.

  2. 02

    Material and branding

Consider high-GSM twills, performance synthetics, combed compact ring-spun yarns, dye-lot continuity, embroidery, screen print, or heat transfer as appropriate to the style.

  3. 03

    Sample and sign-off

Use the 10–15 production-day sampling estimate as a planning reference. Review fit, hand-feel, construction, and branding on the physical sample; record PP approval.

  4. 04

    Production and inspection

In-line checks and final random inspection can follow ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II with an AQL 2.5 threshold. Define the actual sample plan, defect classes, measurement tolerances, and remedies in the order.

  5. 05

    Dispatch

Confirm packing, shipment mode, named destination or port, and the delivery term in the quote. Delivery references include DAP courier and FOB Chattogram sea-freight options.

Uniform engineering

Specify durability where the garment takes stress

Fabric weight

Planning references group lightweight fabrics at 120–180 GSM for indoor hospitality and medical uses; midweight at 200–280 GSM for corporate polos and light industrial jackets; and heavyweight at 300+ GSM for construction and heavy industrial use. Select composition, finish, colorfastness, and shrinkage requirements for the application.

Reinforcement

Identify pocket corners, belt loops, zipper bases, and other stress points for bartacks. Specify triple-needle stitching where required on seams, and define the seam and stitch details in the tech pack.

Branding and trims

Set logo method, size, placement, color references, and wash expectations. Specify zipper and hardware requirements. Confirm material and branding samples before bulk production.

Planning range

Set the calendar around sample approval

These are planning estimates, not delivery guarantees. Confirm the schedule for the actual fabric, style, quantity, and shipment.

  1. 01

    Intake and quote

Share the tech pack or reference sample. An initial quote is estimated at 1–3 days; timing depends on the completeness of the requirements.

  2. 02

    Sampling

Sampling is estimated at 10–15 production days, plus 3–5 days for international courier transit. Sample and shipping timing are confirmed for the project.

  3. 03

    Pre-production approval

Review the physical sample for measurements, appearance, fabric, and branding. Bulk production starts after the buyer's PP sample sign-off.

  4. 04

    Bulk and inspection

Bulk production is estimated at 15–20 days after approval. Confirm the production calendar, inspection scope, and dispatch arrangements in the order.

Technical FAQs

Uniform production questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

The managed-model MOQ reference is 50 pieces per style. Confirm style, color, size-run allocation, and any fabric-specific minimum in the quotation.

Can a specific Pantone color be matched?

Custom lab dips may be available for orders meeting fabric-specific minimums and closest available stock-fabric matches for smaller quantities. Approve the actual lab dip or stock swatch before production.

How is workwear fabric durability evaluated?

Set test methods and acceptance criteria in the buyer's product specification. Confirm whether any third-party laboratory testing or mill test reports are available for the specific order; this page does not promise a particular provider, scope, or report.

Who handles shipping and customs?

Delivery references include DAP for courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight. Confirm the named place or port and transaction-specific responsibilities in the quote; those terms allocate delivery tasks but do not replace destination import checks.

What is needed for a production quote?

Provide a tech pack or reference sample, fabric composition and weight, size chart with points of measure, and logo size and placement. Include end use, quantity, colors, and target timing where known.

How are points of measure controlled?

Use an approved measurement chart for each style. Agree the measured points and tolerances before production and assess finished garments against that specification.

Can medical or industrial uniforms be developed?

Medical scrubs, lab coats, and industrial workwear are included. Describe use, pocket and reinforcement requirements, mobility needs, fabrics, and any buyer-defined finish or evidence in the specification.

How is managed production different from an agent?

Fenalt coordinates technical review and production oversight as a managed production partner. Clarify scope, accountability, quality checks, and commercial terms for the individual order.
