Bulk and tender apparel · managed workflow

Turn a procurement brief into a production plan

Bulk sourcing depends on the fit between technical scope, materials, sample approvals, inspection criteria and delivery responsibilities. Start by making those dependencies explicit.

Prepare the technical handoff

Five connected specification areas

Resolve ambiguity before it reaches material ordering, pattern work or the production floor.

01

POM chart

Base measurements, size grading, tolerances and a clear measuring method.

02

BOM

Main and secondary fabrics, fiber content, construction, GSM, trims and thread details.

03

Construction

Seam types, stitch specifications, SPI and reinforcement details.

04

Color and finishing

Lab-dip targets, color review conditions, washing or finishing expectations and acceptance criteria.

05

Packout

Labels, size ratio, folding, packaging and destination requirements.

Execution sequence

Each decision becomes the next checkpoint

  1. 01

    Intake and technical review

Check whether the tech pack defines the product, POM, BOM and construction well enough to plan a sample.

  2. 02

    Material and development

Review material options and approval samples; document the selected color, construction and trim.

  3. 03

    Prototype and pre-production

Use proto, size-set and PP sample stages where required. Bulk starts only after the buyer's approved reference and material readiness.

  4. 04

    Production coordination

Coordinate cutting, line execution and in-line checks against the signed specification.

  5. 05

    Final review and dispatch

Agree the sampling plan, defect definitions, tolerance and export responsibilities before release.

Questions

Scope, timing and acceptance

What should a sourcing request include?

Provide product category, technical drawings, POM and grading, BOM, stitch and finish details, quantities, size ratio, delivery destination and target schedule.

When does bulk timing begin?

The 15–20-day planning reference begins after PP sample sign-off. Confirm material readiness, capacity and calendar for the actual project.

Can every tender requirement be fulfilled?

A project requires technical, material, compliance and schedule review. This page does not promise that every tender or certification requirement can be supported.

How is quality agreed?

Define the inspection method, sampling plan, defect classes, measurement tolerances and any material testing in the product-specific agreement.

How long does sea freight take?

Confirm sea freight duration for the destination and shipment. Timing is destination- and shipment-specific and is not stated here.
