Small-run production planning · Saudi Arabia
Small-Batch Clothing Manufacturing for Saudi Brands
A smaller production run still needs a clear product brief, quantities by style, and written agreement on samples, quality checks, and delivery. Fenalt manages apparel manufacturing and sourcing coordination through factories, suppliers, and production partners selected for each project. Production origin, methods, and terms depend on the brief; Fenalt does not claim to own factories or manufacture in Saudi Arabia.
Define the run
Set out the run by style
List units for each style, colour, and size rather than relying on one combined total. Include fabric and known composition, construction, finishes, trims, print or embroidery, branding, labels, and packaging. Fenalt’s standard minimum-order reference is 50 pieces per style. Ask the quote to confirm how that applies to the chosen fabric, colours, finishes, and size split; it does not promise that every combination is feasible at that quantity.
Share a current tech pack or product description, reference images or garments, measurement chart and tolerances, known fabric composition, artwork, and intended use. Flag open decisions and identify who can approve changes. Ask the written quote to state assumptions, sample stages, materials, inspection, packing, transport, exclusions, and unresolved points. No public price or universal fabric or colour minimum is established here.
Samples and bulk production
Keep sample and bulk timing distinct
Fenalt’s sampling reference is 10–15 days for production, with a separate 3–5 day shipping reference. Confirm the sample stage, dispatch point, and transport method. The shipping reference is not a guaranteed arrival date in Saudi Arabia and excludes customs processing and local delivery.
The bulk-production reference is 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. Freight, customs processing, and final delivery are separate stages. Confirm the production calendar, materials, approvals, and inspection plan in writing; this production window is not an end-to-end delivery commitment.
Before bulk production, keep the approved sample and current tech-pack revision with the size chart, quantities by style and colour, label and packaging artwork, and inspection criteria. Record proposed substitutions or revisions and their effect on scope before approval. The inspection reference is AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II, where specified in the agreed plan. Define the lot, sample, defect categories, acceptance criteria, and inspection stage. AQL is a sampling method, not a zero-defect promise.
Local product review
Have the product label reviewed locally
The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization publishes a technical regulation for textile products, and its technical-regulations page lists a second edition. Ask a local specialist to review the current regulation and requirements for the actual product and sales channel before approving fibre-composition text or other product information on a label. This draft is not a legal interpretation or a complete list of product-conformity and labelling requirements. SASO textile-product technical regulations.
Importer checks
Ask the importer to confirm import requirements
The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority’s import instructions describe import documents and procedures and direct importers to check product-specific requirements through the customs tariff or with a customs broker. The importer should verify the actual garment’s classification, origin, documents, product requirements, and any applicable taxes and duties with the relevant authority or a qualified adviser before placing the order. This page does not assign a garment tariff code, state a duty rate or tax amount, or calculate a landed cost. ZATCA import instructions · ZATCA guide to VAT on imports and exports.
Fenalt’s delivery references are DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight. Routing and terms depend on production origin, destination, shipment size, and the agreed Incoterm. Confirm the named place or port, transport responsibilities, and import arrangements in the written quote. These references do not promise DDP or a particular arrival date.
Next step
Prepare a clear project brief
Before requesting a quote, organise the product category, size range, quantities by style and colour, fabric and trim requirements, branding, label and packaging artwork, approval contacts, inspection expectations, and Saudi destination. Identify the intended importer and raise product-information, classification, or clearance questions early so the relevant local specialist can review the actual product and route.
