Apparel Manufacturing for Qatar Brands
Fenalt provides managed apparel manufacturing and sourcing, coordinating technical review, production and the agreed delivery plan with factories, suppliers, material sources and production partners selected for each project. Fenalt manages the manufacturing solution; it is not a factory directory or open marketplace. A Qatar buyer’s location does not mean production takes place there. Origin, methods and commercial terms depend on the brief and confirmed project plan.
Connect product and quality decisions to a clear handoff for the importer. Import procedures, classification, approvals and costs depend on the actual goods and current rules, which the importer and its advisers should confirm.

Make the product brief specific
For each style, gather the current technical pack, reference sample if available, intended use, fabric composition and weight, colour and finish, approved measurements, size range, construction, trims, branding, quantity by style and size, packaging and destination. Separate confirmed decisions from estimates and questions. A style name alone rarely gives production partners enough information to make the intended product consistently.
Translate intended use into observable requirements. A uniform brief may state wearer, work conditions, laundering expectations and replenishment plan. For activewear or casual apparel, specify fit, stretch, coverage, construction and performance where they matter. Identify how important properties will be checked and who approves the result. A proposed change to fabric, trims, colour or process needs buyer review before it becomes a production instruction.
Name the people who approve technical details, artwork, labels, commercial terms and the pre-production sample. Add the target date, named delivery point and known importer requirements. Flag unresolved details early so feasibility can be reviewed before the project plan is confirmed.
Project coordination
Coordinate development through export dispatch
- 1
Review the brief
Submit a custom manufacturing request through Fenalt intake. The team reviews supplied information and identifies open questions before development.
- 2
Develop materials and samples
Fenalt coordinates sourcing and sample or prototype work with relevant production partners. The buyer reviews fit, measurements, construction, colour and branding, then records approved revisions.
- 3
Approve a production baseline
Confirm the pre-production sample, materials, trims, artwork, size ratio, packaging and inspection instructions as the shared reference.
- 4
Coordinate production and quality checks
Fenalt coordinates production and can arrange on-site quality control. Set inspection timing, sample plan, defect categories and acceptance criteria in the order.
- 5
Prepare the agreed shipment
Confirm origin, destination, named place or port, shipment size, freight responsibilities and Incoterm. Import clearance remains subject to the agreed scope and importer requirements.
Planning and quality
Confirm scope behind every estimate
| Item | Fenalt reference | Confirm for the project |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | 50 pieces per style | Style, colour, size split and feasibility |
| Sample | 10–15 days production + 3–5 days shipping | Sample scope, materials and destination |
| Bulk production | 15–20 days, sign-off to export dispatch | Approvals, availability and start conditions |
| Inspection | AQL 2.5, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II | Lot, sample plan, defect classes and timing |
| Delivery terms | DAP courier; FOB Chattogram bulk sea | Route, named place or port and agreed term |
These are planning references, not a final quotation or guaranteed dates. Bulk production ends at export dispatch, not arrival in Qatar. Routing and terms depend on origin, destination, shipment size and agreed Incoterm.
AQL is a sampling acceptance method; it does not mean each unit is individually inspected or that defects are impossible. Define the inspection lot, sample size, defect classes, acceptance and rejection criteria, measurement points and response to non-conforming goods. Fenalt reviews non-conformities against the agreed quality standard and coordinates appropriate corrective action with the production partner.
Importer handoff
Confirm Qatar import requirements for the actual goods
Qatar’s General Authority of Customs says commercial importers need evidence of their activity to obtain a customs code. Its guide also identifies approvals or authorizations for restricted goods and says customs may request Arabic translations of foreign invoices or documents. The importer should confirm current requirements for its registration and exact products. Qatar Customs importation guide.
The guide lists records such as delivery orders and bills of lading for air or sea shipments, certain manifests, and packing lists for multiple goods with HS codes. It describes an electronic declaration by the importer, representative or authorized customs broker, document submission, possible risk-based inspection and release procedures. The actual document set depends on the goods and transport mode. It says the owner of the goods, its representative or an authorized customs broker must retain records for five Gregorian years from completion of the customs operation and produce them to customs when requested. Verify current requirements with the authority or adviser. Official procedure details.
Do not infer a duty from a broad apparel label. The importer or broker should classify each item using composition, construction, use and other relevant facts, then check current tariff measures for its code and origin. Qatar Customs publishes an HS user manual and customs legislation and tariff information. This page quotes no duty or tax rate, calculates no landed cost and determines no permit. HS user manual · Customs legislation and tariff information.
Ask the importer to confirm product-specific labelling, conformity, restricted-goods, tax and customs requirements with the competent authority or a qualified local adviser. The general import guide does not establish one label format or approval path for every garment. Fenalt coordinates manufacturing and project information within the agreed scope; it does not claim to be the importer, broker, tax adviser or product approval authority.
Project control
Keep approvals and revisions traceable
The buyer provides or approves the specification, measurements, materials, artwork, label content, size ratios and pre-production sample. Keep one current version and identify who approved it and when. If a requirement changes after approval, record the revision and confirm its effect on sourcing, sample status, cost, quality checks and timing before partners act on it. This reduces ambiguity between the approved product and the information used for production or import preparation.
Buyer questions
Questions Qatar apparel teams ask
What is Fenalt’s standard minimum order?
The current reference is 50 pieces per style. Confirm style, colour, size breakdown and feasibility; separate styles should not be assumed combinable.
When does bulk production timing begin and end?
The 15–20 day reference begins at pre-production sample sign-off and ends at export dispatch. Transit, Qatar customs and delivery are separate.
Does Fenalt manufacture clothing in Qatar?
Production partners and location are selected for each project. This page makes no claim Fenalt owns a Qatari factory or that a specific order will be made there.
Does Fenalt obtain customs clearance or product approvals?
No blanket service or approval claim is made. The importer and its advisers determine product-specific classification, permits, customs, tax and conformity requirements. Fenalt coordinates manufacturing and project information within the agreed scope.
What should I send first?
Send the technical pack, styles and quantities, material and trim needs, sample requirements, quality criteria, label and packaging decisions, destination and target date. Mark unresolved choices.
