Prepare the order brief
Make the quantity plan specific to each style
List each style separately and show its color and size breakdown. Mark whether this is an initial run, repeat order or several distinct products. Do not assume styles or colorways can be pooled toward a minimum; fabric availability, dyeing, construction and finishing affect what can be confirmed.

Technical pack or references, intended use, finished measurements and grading.

Composition, construction, weight, stretch, color and finish requirements.
Quantity
Units by style, color and size, with sample and revision needs.

Artwork, label, packaging, quality criteria and the person responsible for each decision.
Sample and schedule
Approve the sample against the intended product
Review fit and measurements, fabric, color, seams, finishing and brand placement. Record comments by component and identify the sample version. Fenalt’s planning reference for sample production is 10–15 days, plus a separate 3–5 day shipping reference. The bulk-production reference is 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. These are not guaranteed arrival times in Portugal; materials, approvals, revisions and transport affect the schedule.
Portugal as the destination market
Separate product labels from import questions
European Commission guidance says in-scope textile products generally need fibre-composition information and consumer-facing label text in the official languages required where the product is made available. Confirm the garment and sales channel, verify fibre data and have the label reviewed before approving artwork. Do not assume English alone is sufficient for a consumer label in Portugal.
Identify the operator responsible for placing the product on the market and who will handle any import formalities. Specify whether the destination is mainland Portugal, the Azores or Madeira; territorial and transaction details may affect tax review. No tariff code, duty, tax amount or landed cost is calculated here. Confirm production origin, route, delivery terms and import charges for the order.
