Pakistan knitwear production

Fully Managed Knitwear & Jersey Apparel Manufacturing Solutions

Fenalt centralizes yarn selection, fabric knitting, garment assembly, quality assurance, and export logistics for brands that need an accountable production partner.

The model is designed for precise technical execution without the fragmentation of separately managing mills, dye houses, sewing factories, and freight providers.

Managed production

One accountable pipeline from yarn to export

The native workflow makes each technical handoff visible without exposing the raw source diagram.

01

Yarn and fabric

Fenalt coordinates yarn sourcing, circular knitting, ribbing, fleece, dyeing, stenter framing, and mechanical compacting against the material brief.

02

Pattern and sampling

Tech pack reconciliation, grading, lab dips, physical samples, and POM checks happen before bulk cutting is released.

03

Managed assembly

Vetted cut-and-sew lines execute overlock, flatlock, coverstitch, and trim attachment under structured production supervision.

04

Inspection and dispatch

Raw material, inline, and final audits lead to DAP courier delivery or FOB Chattogram bulk freight.

Finishing control

Stability and hand-feel are engineered at the mill

ProcessWhat it controlsWorking result
Stenter framingWidth control, skew and bow correction, and heat-setting for open-width jersey, interlock, and elastane blends.Typically ±5% depending on yarn tension and structure.
Mechanical compactingSteam and felt-blanket or rubber-belt compression for tubular or open-width cotton jersey and French terry. Can achieve below 3% residual shrinkage when calibrated correctly.
Chemical softeningSilicone, cationic, or enzymatic agents that improve hand-feel and reduce surface hairiness in premium cotton and modal blends.Minimal direct shrinkage impact; changes pliability and surface response.

Fabric engineering

Select the knit structure around the garment, not the label alone

Combed compact ring-spun yarn uses parallelized long-staple fibers with minimized hairiness, improving tensile strength, pilling resistance, and the surface available for screen or direct-to-garment printing. Carded yarn remains useful when a heavier, more textured hand-feel is required.

Fenalt coordinates blends of cotton, recycled polyester, modal, and elastane when stretch recovery, moisture management, or durability needs to be tuned beyond a single fiber.

Knitting gauge, stitch density, dyeing, compacting, and the final seam profile are reviewed together so the material specification remains useful at assembly.

Material formats

Common knit structures in the managed network

Single jersey

140–240 GSM

Lightweight to midweight T-shirts and base layers.

Interlock

220–320 GSM

Smooth double-knit surface, stable body, low edge curl.

Rib knit

1x1, 2x2, 2x1

Elastic collars, cuffs, waistbands, and fitted garments.

French terry and fleece

280–450 GSM

Loopback or brushed-back hoodies, sweatshirts, and joggers.

Quality protocol

Inspection follows the material through the line

Raw material

  • Yarn count, twist, and contamination checks.
  • D65, TL84, and CWF shade evaluation with Delta E control.
  • Wash testing for shrinkage before cutting.

In-line assembly

  • SPI and seam construction against the tech pack.
  • Overlock, flatlock, and coverstitch integrity.
  • Needle detection before final packing.

Final release

  • ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II with AQL 2.5.
  • AQL 4.0 applied for minor defects.
  • Standard industry tolerances across all POMs.

Order planning

Clear milestones keep the production calendar usable

The standard managed MOQ is 50 pieces per style. Sampling takes 10–15 days for production plus 3–5 days shipping, while bulk takes 15–20 days from pre-production sign-off to export dispatch.

The bulk window covers yarn sourcing, knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing, finishing, and final quality control. DAP is used for small-batch courier shipments; FOB Chattogram suits bulk sea freight.

A production brief should include

  • Yarn type, fiber blend, GSM, gauge, and finishing direction.
  • POM chart, grading rules, seam type, SPI, and trim requirements.
  • Color references, lab-dip expectations, and target delivery term.
  • Inspection threshold and packaging or barcode requirements.

Questions & answers

Pakistan knitwear manufacturing FAQ

What is Fenalt's minimum order quantity for custom knitwear?

Fenalt's standard Minimum Order Quantity is 50 pieces per style. The managed baseline supports emerging brands and capsule collections without the burden of high inventory commitments.

How does Fenalt manage fabric shrinkage and dimensional stability?

Fenalt uses mechanical compacting for 100% cotton knits and stenter framing or heat-setting for synthetic blends. Pre-production wash tests guide pattern allowances so finished garments align with the approved POM chart.

What quality inspection standards apply to bulk production?

Bulk production undergoes ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II inspection with an AQL 2.5 acceptance threshold for major defects and AQL 4.0 for minor defects. Seam strength, SPI, color, and construction are checked before shipment.

What are the standard lead times?

Sampling takes 10–15 days for production plus 3–5 days for shipping. Bulk production takes 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. Custom fabric or dyeing may extend the schedule.

How are shipping and delivery terms handled?

DAP is used for small-batch courier shipments delivered to the warehouse or office. FOB Chattogram is used for bulk sea freight, with the buyer's freight forwarder coordinating the ocean leg.

Can Fenalt source combed compact ring-spun cotton?

Yes. Fenalt sources combed compact ring-spun cotton, organic cotton, recycled polyester blends, and modal. Combed compact yarn is suited to premium streetwear because it offers low hairiness, tensile strength, and a clean printing surface.

How are POM tolerances verified?

Inspectors measure garments against the approved pre-production specification. Standard industry tolerances apply across all points of measure; out-of-tolerance garments are flagged for rectification.
