Technical hard shells
2L, 2.5L, or 3L laminated shells use articulated elbows, storm hoods with three-way cord-locks, water-repellent zippers, taped seams, and shoulder ease for layering.
Shell, insulation, and seam-sealing control
Fenalt manufactures hard shells, puffers, parkas, bombers, workwear jackets, softshells, and fleece-lined layers through a fully managed technical workflow.
Pattern development, BOM sourcing, membrane bonding, insulation, seam taping, trims, samples, bulk, and AQL 2.5 inspection stay aligned from brief to export.
Direct answer
Fenalt matches complex jackets to technical facilities equipped for heavy stitching, ultrasonic quilting, automated insulation blowing, and hot-air seam taping. We turn the tech pack into a production-ready sample, manage shell lamination and POM, and run in-line and final quality inspection.
The standard MOQ is 50 pieces per style. Small-batch and samples can use DAP; bulk sea freight can use FOB Chattogram.

2L, 2.5L, or 3L laminated shells use articulated elbows, storm hoods with three-way cord-locks, water-repellent zippers, taped seams, and shoulder ease for layering.
02
Stitch-through or heat-welded baffles, down or synthetic fill, down-proof lining, storm plackets, waist cinches, and fleece or fur-trim hood structures can be specified.
03
MA-1 bombers, coach jackets, canvas chore coats, and track jackets use heavy zippers, logo snaps, arm pockets, and rib-knit collars, cuffs, or hems.
04
Three-layer stretch softshells combine DWR face, breathable TPU membrane, and fleece backing with raglan sleeves, gussets, welded pockets, and drop tails.
Material selection
| Fabric | Composition | Weight | Performance | Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nylon Taslan shell | 100% polyamide | 120–180 GSM | Matte, abrasion resistant, light | Streetwear jackets and windbreakers |
| Polyester micro-ripstop | 100% polyester | 50–80 GSM | Tear strength, lightweight, down-proof | Packable rainwear and liners |
| Bonded softshell | 92% poly / 8% elastane + TPU + fleece | 280–380 GSM | Stretch, windproof, 8,000mm+ water resistance | Active outerwear and team jackets |
| Heavy cotton duck canvas | 100% ring-spun cotton | 350–480 GSM | Rigid, dense, durable | Heritage workwear coats |
| Technical hard shell | Nylon 70D + PTFE/TPU + tricot | 140–200 GSM | 10,000–20,000mm hydrostatic head | Rainwear and alpine shells |
| Nylon taffeta | 380T / 400T nylon | 35–55 GSM | Smooth cire finish, down-proof | Puffer lining and shells |
Technical construction
Seam sealing, stitch density, bonded thread, hardware, and adjustment points determine performance.
Hot-air machinery applies PU or thermoplastic tape at controlled 380–450°C. Hydrostatic performance is specified from 5,000mm upward; the draft flags the maximum rating for project confirmation.
TAPING + HYDROSTATIC
C0 or C6 DWR helps water bead on the face. TPU or PTFE membranes provide the barrier layer in bonded softshells and hard shells.
C0 / C6 / TPU / PTFE
Structural shell seams use 8–10 SPI with high-tenacity bonded polyester or nylon, Tex 40–70, and 28–42-stitch bartacks at stress points.
8–10 SPI
YKK or SAB Vislon, coil, or AquaGuard-style zippers, storm plackets, elastic cuffs, hook-and-loop tabs, and hem drawcords close the garment.

Questions and answers
Programmable hot-air machines bond multi-ply PU or rubber-based tape over stitched seams under controlled temperature, air speed, and pressure. Hydrostatic testing verifies seam performance before bulk.
Fenalt's standard MOQ is 50 pieces per style.
Down-proof 380T or 400T nylon taffeta with cire or calendering closes micro-gaps; non-woven inner bags can contain fill inside baffle chambers.
Sampling is 10–15 days plus 3–5 days shipping. Bulk is 15–20 days from PP sign-off to export dispatch.
Yes. Custom silicone zipper pulls, engraved sliders, branded snaps, inner labels, sleeve badges, and woven drawcords with dipped or metal aglets are supported.
Calibrated tables are used to measure center back, sleeve, chest, hem sweep, shoulder slope, and hood height against the tech pack under standard commercial tolerances.
