Managed private label production

Fenalt coordinates apparel manufacturing and sourcing through factories, suppliers, material sources and production partners selected for each project. Work can include technical review, material sourcing, OEM or ODM product development, sample coordination, production planning, quality activity and export logistics.

Fenalt is a manufacturing solutions manager, not a factory directory or marketplace, and does not claim to own production facilities. Partners, production origin, capabilities, schedule and commercial terms are confirmed for each project. This page does not promise Malaysian production.

Prepare a reviewable brief

Describe garment type and use, target wearer, fit, size range, construction, fabric type, known fibre composition or weight, colours, artwork, labels, tags and trims. Mark mandatory details and those open to proposals. Attach the current technical pack, sketches or reference images and identify the version. An image alone may not define material, construction method, quantity or schedule.

State quantity by style, colour and size; do not assume separate styles combine toward one minimum. Artwork, label content and placement, materials and application method need approval for each style. The written scope should list included work, buyer-supplied items, open decisions, approvals and exclusions.

Production support

  • Technical pack review and specification questions.
  • OEM or ODM product development and sample coordination.
  • Fabric and material sourcing against the project specification.
  • Production coordination through selected partner facilities.
  • On-site quality control during production and export planning.

Four stages from brief to dispatch

  1. Define the brief.

Share product specifications, quantity, branding needs, destination and target schedule.

  2. Review scope and quotation.

Resolve questions about materials, construction, sourcing, development and assumptions before approving the commercial scope.

  3. Develop and approve a sample.

Review agreed fit, materials, construction and branding, then approve the pre-production sample and written quality criteria.

  4. Coordinate production and export.

After approval, Fenalt coordinates production partners, agreed inspection activity and export dispatch.

The applicable facility, methods, schedule and terms are confirmed for the order. A previous route or production partner is not automatically available for another style.

Quantity and timing

Fenalt’s standard MOQ is 50 pieces per style; the quotation confirms the style definition and quantity by colour and size. Sampling is estimated at 10–15 production days plus 3–5 days for sample shipping. Bulk production is estimated at 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. These are planning estimates, not an arrival date or unconditional guarantee. Timing is confirmed after requirements, partners and approvals are reviewed.

Set written quality criteria

Fenalt provides on-site quality control during production. Before bulk work, document the approved sample, measurement points, construction requirements, material and colour criteria, inspection scope, records and corrective-action process. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 General Inspection Level II applies only when stated in the written inspection plan. Non-conformities are reviewed against the agreed standard and appropriate corrective action is coordinated with the production partner. There is no universal defect-free or automatic free-replacement promise.

Plan shipment terms

Terms depend on production origin, destination, shipment size and agreed Incoterm. DAP may be used for small-batch courier shipments; FOB Chattogram may be used for bulk sea freight. Confirm route and term in project documents. No transit time, tariff, tax treatment or landed cost for Malaysia is stated.

Check Malaysian import requirements for the actual goods

The Malaysian importer and its customs adviser should confirm the current declaration process, documents, classification, origin and product measures for the actual garment and transaction. Provide garment type, construction, fibre mix and country of origin. Do not estimate an HS code, duty, sales tax, permit outcome or landed cost from a generic category. Fenalt does not claim to act as Malaysia’s importer of record, customs declarant or compliance representative.

The Royal Malaysian Customs Department publishes its Import Procedure. The Malaysia National Trade Repository includes tariff nomenclature, procedures and document references. MySST is an official tax information source, but does not determine tax treatment for a particular garment. Check current references and seek advice for the actual goods.

Frequently asked questions

What is the standard MOQ?

50 pieces per style. The quotation confirms scope; do not assume styles can be combined.

Does 15–20 days include delivery to Malaysia?

No. It runs from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. Transit and arrival are planned separately.

Does AQL 2.5 guarantee a defect-free order?

No. It applies only if stated in the written inspection plan; the order’s criteria and corrective actions are agreed.

What should a buyer send first?

The current tech pack or design references, quantity by style and variant, branding needs, destination and target window. Mark open choices.
