Private Label Clothing Production for South Korean Brands

Fenalt coordinates private-label apparel through production partners selected for each project. Scope can include technical review, material sourcing, sampling, branding coordination, agreed quality checks, and export planning.

Fenalt manages manufacturing solutions; it is not a factory directory and does not claim to own facilities or manufacture in South Korea. The origin, partner, scope, and terms are confirmed for each order.

Prepare a reviewable product brief

For each style, specify garment type and use, fit, size range, construction, known fibre content and fabric weight, colour, trims, artwork, labels, tags, and packaging. State quantity by style, colour, and size; do not assume different styles combine toward one minimum. Attach the current specification and references, mark open decisions, and identify the owners for sample, label artwork, quality, and change approval.

Keep a dated specification with measurement points, tolerances, and material references. A visual or fabric trade name may not define construction, composition, or schedule.

Plan sampling, approvals, and quality

  1. 1. product, quantity, destination, brand requirements, and open questions.

  2. 2. coordinate materials, fit, components, and decoration. Reference estimate: 10–15 production days plus 3–5 days for shipping separately.

  3. 3. record the approved sample, specification version, size chart, colour, branding, and inspection plan.

  4. 4. reference estimate is 15–20 days from pre-production sample approval to export dispatch; transit, customs, and final delivery are excluded.

  5. 5. confirm origin, named place or port, mode, Incoterm, documents, and responsibilities in writing.

Fenalt's standard minimum reference is 50 pieces per style; confirm fit for the material, colour, construction, and size breakdown in the quotation. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 General Inspection Level II applies only when included in the written quality plan. It is a sampling method, not a check of every garment or a defect-free guarantee.

Before bulk work, align the approved sample and specification version with the size chart, branding, label and packaging artwork, quantities, inspection scope, and change approver. The written quality plan should define measurement points, tolerances, defect categories, sample size, inspection stage, records, and corrective-action handling. Non-conformities are reviewed against the agreed standard and an appropriate corrective action is coordinated with the production partner.

Check Korean product and import requirements

SafetyKorea lists household textile products and children's textile products in separate frameworks. Its household-textile safety-standards-compliance guidance is category-specific and must not be generalized to all apparel. A Korean product-safety specialist and importer should confirm the actual product category, current markings, and label placement for the garment and intended use.

SafetyKorea's clothing-label example can help check fields such as fibre composition, manufacturer or importer, country, date, size, care information, and labeler contact details. It is a review checklist, not proof that every field applies to every item. Verify product information and approve the final Korean-language artwork before production; do not claim certification, chemical safety, hypoallergenic properties, or test results without evidence for the actual product and claim.

Korea Customs Service says origin marking applies to designated imports. Origin follows where goods are produced, manufactured, or processed, rather than the country of investment, design, technology, or trademark. Multi-country production may require a substantial-transformation analysis; the importer or broker should determine the origin and required marking for the actual garment using production evidence.

Import declarations use UNI-PASS and may be submitted by a customs broker or goods owner. Korea Customs Service examples of supporting records include an invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and inspection certificate where applicable; confirm the required set for the shipment. Classification and shipment details affect tariff treatment, so use the Korea Customs Service tariff resources with the broker to verify current treatment. This page assigns no HS code or duty, tax, preference, or landed-cost result.

Confirm delivery terms before ordering

Fenalt's current commercial references are DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight, subject to project confirmation. The written quotation should state the agreed Incoterm, named place or port, production origin, transport mode, export and import responsibilities, applicable charges, and exclusions. DAP does not mean import charges are included. No transit, clearance, or arrival date is promised.
