Private Label Clothing for South Korean Brands

Private-label clothing carries a buyer's brand identity on garments made to an agreed specification. Fenalt manages apparel production with project-selected partners, from technical review through production coordination to delivery.

Fenalt is a managed manufacturing solution, not a factory directory or open marketplace, and does not claim to own facilities. Production origin, partner, scope, and terms are confirmed for each project.

Share a production brief

Prepare a reviewable product brief

For each style, record garment category and intended use, fit, size range, construction, known fibre content, colours, trims, branding placement, label artwork, tags, and packaging. Break quantities down by style, colour, and size; do not assume separate styles count toward one minimum. Attach the current specification and reference files, distinguish confirmed requirements from open decisions, and identify who can approve changes.

Use a dated specification version with measurement points, tolerances, and material references. For each sample stage, agree who checks fit, measurements, colour, material hand-feel, construction, branding placement, and packaging. Record accepted changes in the revision and keep it with the approved sample. Images or informal messages may not settle production scope.

Confirm planning and quality scope

Fenalt's standard minimum reference is 50 pieces per style. Confirm in the quotation whether the style definition and quantity breakdown fit that reference; do not assume different styles, colours, or fabric needs can be combined. Sampling is estimated at 10–15 days for production plus a separate 3–5 days for shipping. Bulk production is estimated at 15–20 days from pre-production sample approval to export dispatch. These are planning references, not arrival or unconditional delivery promises; confirm project dates against materials, approvals, revisions, partners, and shipment arrangements.

Before bulk production, agree the approved sample, measurement points and tolerances, construction and material criteria, inspection scope, records, and corrective-action process in writing. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 General Inspection Level II applies only when the written inspection plan states its sampling method and acceptance limits. It does not mean every unit is inspected or guarantee defect-free production. Needle or metal detection can be included when required by the product, buyer specification, or production facility; confirm the actual activities for the order.

Check Korean product and label requirements

SafetyKorea lists household textile products and children's textile products in separate product categories. Guidance for the household textile safety-standards-compliance category should not be generalized to every garment. SafetyKorea's clothing-label example can help reviewers consider fibre composition, manufacturer or importer, country of manufacture, date, size, care information, and labeler contact details, but it does not establish that the same fields or method apply to every product.

Give the Korean importer and a product-safety specialist the garment's intended use, user age, materials, and product details. Ask them to confirm the current category, applicable standard, required Korean-language markings, label placement, and evidence before approving artwork. Do not claim a KC mark, chemical-safety status, or test result without product-specific support.

Prepare origin and import documentation

Korea Customs Service says origin marking applies to designated imports. The importer or customs broker should determine whether the exact garment is covered and how origin and marking apply to its production path. Brand location, design ownership, trademark, export port, or packing location alone does not establish customs origin.

Electronic import declarations are handled through Korea Customs Service's UNI-PASS. Its guidance gives examples such as an invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and inspection certificate, where applicable; the required documents depend on the actual goods and transaction. Give the broker garment construction, fibre composition, production steps, and origin records to confirm the classification and filing requirements. This page does not assign an HS code, tariff rate, preferential-origin result, tax amount, or landed cost.

Confirm shipment terms in writing

Fenalt's commercial references are DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight, subject to confirmation for the order. Record the agreed Incoterm, named place or port, production origin, transport mode, documents, export and import responsibilities, charges, and exclusions in the quotation. DAP or a quotation alone does not establish duties, taxes, customs clearance, total landed cost, or an arrival date.

Gather the current specification, quantity breakdown, material and branding decisions, label and packaging files, desired sample stage, destination, and target timing. Mark unresolved questions before requesting a project review.
