Low-MOQ Clothing Manufacturing for Italian Brands

Fenalt coordinates technical review, sourcing, sampling, production with project-selected partners, quality planning and delivery. Production location, minimums, pricing and schedule depend on the garment and materials and should be confirmed in writing.

Turn a brief into a production plan

A lower-volume run can help an independent label assess a capsule, colourway or first collection. Fenalt manages manufacturing solutions; it is not a factory directory or marketplace. Minimums, material availability, capacity, unit price and dates are checked for each order. Fenalt’s standard MOQ reference is 50 pieces per style.

Share the garment and intended use, construction, measurements and size range, fibres and fabrics, colours, finishes, artwork, trims, labels, packaging and quantity by style and colour. Include the current tech pack, reference images and buyer requirements. Mark approved details and open decisions clearly.

Product categories and specification

A brief may cover cut-and-sew knits such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, polos and casual sportswear; woven products such as shirts, cargo or chino trousers, shorts, light jackets, denim, workwear or technical outerwear. These are examples to assess against the project, not a promise that every material or construction is available.

Specify fibre, fabric weight and hand, colour, fit, seams, artwork, finish and measurement tolerances. Dimensional stability, pilling and colourfastness can be requirements to discuss; methods, acceptance criteria and testing need to be agreed and documented for the order. Fabric and dye minimums vary with construction, supplier and process.

Development and approval stages

  1. Technical review: align the tech pack version, measurements, materials, construction, quantities and open questions.
  2. Sourcing and feasibility: Fenalt reviews the brief with partners relevant to the project; origin, availability and terms are confirmed in the proposal.
  3. Sample and approval: the operational sample reference is 10–15 production days plus 3–5 days for shipping. Confirm applicable sample scope and timing for the order. Record fit, measurements, fabric, colour, seams, branding and labels; base bulk production on the agreed approval.
  4. Production and inspection: the bulk reference is 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. Agree inspection scope, criteria and responsibilities; AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II is a Fenalt reference to confirm in the project plan.
  5. Delivery: plan destination, clearance, transport and dates around the actual origin and shipment.

Dimensional tolerances follow applicable industry practice at agreed points of measure. Non-conformities are reviewed against the agreed quality standard, and appropriate corrective action is coordinated with the production partner.

Labels and importing into Italy

Regulation (EU) 1007/2011 addresses fibre names and composition information for textile products within its scope; product, channel, language and operator role can affect the requirements. Have the responsible product operator and a specialist review the item and artwork before sale. The European Commission’s textile labelling guidance and the Italian regulation text are review references. REACH includes restrictions applying to certain substances and articles: assess materials, components and intended use with a qualified adviser and consult ECHA’s restriction guidance.

For packaging, check the obligation that applies and the current Italian guidance. The Italian ministerial decree on environmental packaging labelling guidance is an official starting point, not an assessment of the packaging for a particular order.

Fenalt’s delivery reference is DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight. The route and Incoterm depend on origin, destination, shipment size and agreement. Import clearance, duties and VAT are not automatically included under DAP: define the importer and responsibilities. Duty and VAT need product classification, origin and transaction details; consult EU TARIC and a customs representative. This page states no import rate or landed cost.

Questions to resolve before a project

Does Fenalt manufacture in Italy?
Fenalt coordinates production with partners selected for the project. This page does not present production as domestic Italian manufacturing; confirm origin in the proposal.
What is the MOQ, and how are sizes handled?
Fenalt’s standard reference is 50 pieces per style. Size and colour splits, material minimums and feasibility are confirmed for the order.
How long do sampling and bulk take?
Operational references are 10–15 sample production days plus 3–5 days shipping, and 15–20 bulk days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. Confirm the specific schedule before committing a retail date.
Which quality checks apply?
AQL 2.5 (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II) is an approved Fenalt reference; set the inspection plan, sampling and criteria for the order.

For a technical review, submit a brief through intake with product, quantity, destination and target date.
