Questions and answers
For DAP courier shipments, the courier acts as customs broker on arrival at Irish entry points such as Dublin or Shannon. Applicable customs duty and Irish VAT are paid according to the current classification and Revenue treatment. The standard 50-piece MOQ applies to one style and colorway, distributed across a size run such as S, M, L, and XL. Each additional colorway is treated as a separate run because of dye-lot and cutting-table setup requirements.
For GOTS organic cotton or GRS recycled polyester, Fenalt collects transaction certificates from accredited certification bodies and checks the chain of custody from certified source through spinning and weaving.
The batch is rejected when defects exceed the ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II threshold. The facility must re-inspect the full batch, repair or replace defective garments, and submit it to a secondary independent inspection before export authorization.
Air express DAP typically takes 3–5 business days from export dispatch to Ireland. FOB sea freight commonly takes 35–45 days to Dublin or Cork, while air freight takes approximately 5–10 days airport-to-airport. Final cost is based on chargeable weight and the booked carrier or forwarder.
