Private-label production asks a buyer to align a distinctive product with repeatable construction and the requirements of the German sales market. Fenalt coordinates the process from tech pack review and raw material sourcing through sample engineering, order-specific inspection and export logistics. Sewing is performed through international partner facilities, not in Germany.
Independent designers may plan capsule collections with minimums confirmed after product review. DTC and streetwear brands may specify heavyweight fabric, garment dyeing, print and custom trims. Retail and corporate teams may need multi-SKU coordination, packaging details and an order schedule that fits a seasonal release.

For denim, washes or distressing are selected against the approved specification and confirmed facility capability. For outerwear, define the required shell, seam treatment and hardware rather than relying on a category name to imply performance.
Managed build
The workflow moves from buyer input through technical approval, then production, quality and export.

Textile composition
Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 governs fibre names and composition labeling. Use the language required for Germany. It does not itself impose general care-symbol or country-of-origin labels. Separate product-safety identification may apply depending on the product and operator.
Chemical restrictions
Assess each material and component against the restriction that applies to the substance, article and intended use. Annex XVII entries set specific scope and conditions; request supplier evidence or testing where appropriate.
Retail timing
German brands may plan Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter collections. Align target dates with the order-specific production schedule and booked carrier estimate.
Import and delivery
Choose a term that reflects transport mode, named place and party responsibilities. Duties, VAT and EORI needs depend on the transaction.

Goods entering Germany from a non-EU origin may be subject to customs duty and import VAT. Duty depends on tariff classification, origin and current measures or preferences; check the applicable TARIC entry. Import VAT, or *Einfuhrumsatzsteuer*, follows German rules for the legally defined taxable amount.
An EORI is needed where EU customs rules require one for the operator’s role. Confirm whether the importer or representative must hold it, and agree the invoices, packing list, origin details and classification data for clearance.
Carrier estimates depend on route and are confirmed at booking. Use the booked plan for destinations such as Hamburg, Bremerhaven or inland distribution points.

Questions from German buyers
No. Fenalt does not operate sewing facilities in Germany. It coordinates international manufacturing through partner facilities and can manage technical work, quality checks and export delivery for brands and corporate clients based in Germany.
Under DAP, the buyer handles import clearance and applicable duties and taxes; a courier may act as customs representative. For bulk FOB shipments, the buyer’s freight forwarder handles the import arrangements agreed for the transaction. EORI requirements depend on each operator’s role.
There is no universal standard. Fenalt confirms per-style minimums after reviewing the fabric, dyeing and construction requirements.
A physical pre-production sample is made from the approved tech pack. Sampling schedules are confirmed after material readiness and approvals; carrier transit estimates are confirmed at booking. Bulk production begins after the buyer reviews and formally approves the sample for fit, construction and materials.
