Fenalt coordinates overseas apparel production for French brands. Material, dyeing and assembly options depend on the approved specification and selected facility. Environmental and certification claims need supplier documentation for the product and order they describe.

Managed sourcing needs a product-specific evidence file
French labels may need to coordinate material traceability, technical construction and market disclosures across an overseas supply chain. Fenalt manages technical review, material sourcing, sampling, production coordination, inspection and import-freight planning for the scope agreed for an order. It does not operate a sewing atelier in France.
Independent designers can plan a capsule with per-style minimums confirmed after product review. DTC teams may need consistent construction across repeat drops. Retail and corporate buyers may need documentation that connects a material statement to a supplier and order. In each case, the actual material, availability and inspection plan are agreed against the approved specification.
A certificate name alone does not establish the finished garment's environmental performance. Keep the certificate, transaction document, product specification and any test or process evidence together, and check that their scope matches the claim.

Order planning
Balance stock cover with material readiness
Too much initial stock can lead to markdowns; too little can create stockouts. Plan the run around the style, demand and material lead-in.
Approve the PPS
Evaluate a physical pre-production sample before releasing bulk cutting, markers and dyeing. Record fit, construction, hand-feel and the material evidence to retain.
Plan the reorder
Use demand and the approved style record to review a repeat. For core styles, material reservations may be coordinated at mill level, subject to availability and confirmed order terms.
Sampling and production schedules are confirmed per order after material readiness and approvals. Carrier transit estimates are confirmed at booking. Keep the buyer's launch calendar connected to those confirmations.

Tech pack audit
Review bill of materials, pattern geometry, grading, seam tolerances and material specifications.

Material and color
Source the proposed material, check certificate scope where specified and approve a Pantone TCX lab dip.

Fit and sample
Review the physical sample for fit, construction, seam strength and dimensional stability; schedule confirmed per order.

Bulk and inline checks
After approval, monitor the confirmed production run, including stitching density, seam tension, print registration and trimming.

Final inspection
Apply the sampling plan and acceptance criteria agreed for the order before export dispatch.
The approved sample, measurement chart and construction file should show the exact version being released. Any change after sign-off should be reviewed and documented before the team proceeds.
Lab dips and swatches are dispatched for buyer review before cutting begins where the order requires them. Material availability, schedule and carrier timing are confirmed for the project.
France-specific requirements

The product category, responsible operator and intended claims determine which checks apply. Confirm them before production and label approval.
Fibre information
Composition and language
Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 governs fibre names and composition labelling. Use the language required for the market. It does not itself require general care symbols or consumer-facing country-of-origin labels.
AGEC and EPR
Disclosures by scope
French AGEC duties depend on the product and responsible operator. Confirm traceability, environmental disclosures, Triman and Info-Tri artwork with the relevant scheme, such as Refashion, when the product is in scope.
Chemical safety
REACH review
Assess articles, mixtures and components against restrictions for each substance, product and use. REACH Annex XVII defines specific scope and conditions; request supplier evidence or testing when appropriate. An OEKO-TEX certificate does not replace legal checks.

Freight and customs
Choose the term that fits the route
Name the delivery place and transport mode in the sales contract. Transit depends on the route and carrier; estimates are confirmed at booking.

For non-EU imports into France, check the current TARIC entry for the transaction. Duty depends on tariff classification, origin and current measures or preferences. Import VAT follows French rules on the legally defined taxable amount; accounting treatment depends on importer eligibility and current rules.
EORI requirements depend on the operator’s customs role. Confirm the importer and representative, and prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, origin information and any other documents the customs representative needs.
