Small-Batch Clothing Manufacturing for French Brands
A small apparel run starts with a clear product brief and quantities by style. Fenalt manages apparel manufacturing and sourcing through factories, suppliers, material sources and production partners selected for each project. Scope and terms depend on the brief and written quotation; production location and project details are confirmed for the actual work.
Quantity and specification
Set out quantities and specifications by style
List units for each style, colour and size. Describe intended use, fit, construction, measurements, fabric and known fibre composition, finishes, trims, print or embroidery, branding, labels and packaging. Fenalt's standard minimum-order reference is 50 pieces per style. Ask the quotation to confirm how it applies to the selected material, colour, finish and size breakdown; that reference does not establish that every combination is feasible at that quantity.
For an initial review, share a current tech pack or product description, a measurement chart and tolerances, references, known fabric details, artwork and other branding files. Identify open decisions and the people who may approve samples, specification changes and the final order mix. Ask the written quotation to state assumptions, sample stages, materials, inspection, packing, transport, exclusions and unresolved points. This page sets no public price or universal fabric or colour minimum.
Sample approval and quality
Keep sample approval tied to the production reference
Review a sample before bulk production. Keep the approved sample with the current specification revision, size chart, quantities, artwork, labels, packaging and inspection criteria. Record proposed substitutions or revisions and their effect on scope; obtain approval before a change is used in production.
Fenalt provides on-site quality control during production. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 General Inspection Level II applies only when included in the written inspection plan. Define the lot, sample, defect categories, acceptance criteria and inspection stage in that plan. AQL is a sampling method, not inspection of every garment or a zero-defect promise.
France transaction review
Have the responsible parties review the France transaction
EU Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 covers textile-fibre names and related fibre-composition labelling and marking for products within its scope. Product coverage, wording, transaction stage and any exceptions require review for the actual goods before label approval. The French Customs import guide provides information for businesses planning imports; it does not determine the requirements or outcome for a particular garment or order. Ask the importer or customs representative to verify the current process and documents for the actual product, origin and transaction, with qualified product and tax advice where needed.
This page assigns no tariff classification, duty or tax amount, origin determination, importer responsibility, landed cost, shipping route, arrival date or compliance result. Fenalt does not approve label artwork or guarantee an import outcome.

Project brief
Prepare the details the team needs to review a small run
Bring together the product category and intended use; size range; quantities by style, colour and size; known fibre composition and material evidence; construction, finish and trim requirements; print or embroidery; artwork and branding files; labels and packaging; current tech-pack or product-description version; measurement chart and tolerances; sample and production approval owners; inspection criteria; France destination; target window; and open product, origin, classification or import-document questions.
Keep confirmed details separate from estimates and unresolved choices. Identify the intended importer and ask the responsible parties to review the actual product and transaction. Fenalt can then assess the brief and set out project assumptions, scope and exclusions in writing.
