Small-Batch Clothing Manufacturing for Danish Brands

A smaller production run still needs clear decisions about styles, variants, approvals, and delivery location. Fenalt reviews the brief and coordinates production with partners selected for each project.

Prepare a production brief

Planning a small run

Set quantities by style and variant

Fenalt's standard minimum order reference is 50 pieces per style. This is a starting point for an enquiry, not confirmation that every combination of fabric, colour, size range, or finish can be made at that quantity. List the quantity for each style, colour, and size, then confirm the applicable minimum in the quote.

A clear brief helps assess materials and plan the run. Mark which colours and sizes are fixed and which may still change. Fabric and colour minimums depend on construction, mill, dyeing process, and the order specification, so they are confirmed during sourcing.

Brief for the Danish market

Make the first review specific

Share a tech pack or product description with drawings, construction details, points of measure, size chart, materials, and colours. Include known fibre content, fabric weight, trims, and finishing details where available. Flag missing information as an open question instead of treating an assumption as final.

Include these project details

  • Units by style, colour, and size
  • Brand files and print or embroidery placement
  • Label, hangtag, and packaging preferences
  • Intended sales market and requested product information
  • Delivery location in Denmark and target planning window
  • Any tests, documents, or inspection criteria to review

Identify who can approve artwork, samples, and changes for your brand. Textile products sold in Denmark must be labelled in Danish. For online sales, buyers should be able to see required information before purchase. Requirements depend on product category, use, and applicable exceptions. Ask a textile product specialist to confirm the relevant label, wording, and allocation of responsibilities for the specific product before approving it. This is planning information, not legal advice. The English language of this page does not change product-label requirements.

From brief to production

Record decisions before the bulk run

  1. Technical review

Fenalt reviews the brief and coordinates questions about construction, materials, variants, and quantities with relevant project partners.

  2. Sample and feedback

Fenalt coordinates sampling and prototype development. Keep feedback on fit, measurements, colour, material, and branding tied to the correct brief version.

  3. Written approval

Compare the approved sample with the final specification. Record measurements, materials, construction, artwork, and acceptance criteria before bulk production is planned.

  4. Production coordination and handover

Fenalt coordinates the agreed quality steps and handover under the order terms. The partner, production location, route, and delivery point are confirmed for each project.

Sample production is referenced at 10–15 days, with sample shipping shown separately at 3–5 days. Bulk production is referenced at 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. This is not a door-to-door delivery estimate for Denmark; transport time is separate and depends on the route and agreement.

Quality agreement

Tie checks to the product specification

Agree measurement points and product-specific tolerances, material and colour references, construction, inspection stages, and acceptance criteria in writing. Fenalt's inspection reference is AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, Level II, when confirmed in the agreed quality plan. This is sampling inspection, not inspection of every garment or a defect-free guarantee.

Tests, certificates, material inspection methods, and needle or metal detection depend on the product and written order requirements. Non-conformities are reviewed against the agreed quality standard, and suitable corrective action is coordinated with the production partner.

Fenalt provides a fully managed apparel manufacturing and sourcing solution, working with factories, suppliers, material sources, and production partners according to the project. For small-batch courier shipments, the delivery term may be DAP; for bulk sea freight, it may be FOB Chattogram. Routing and terms depend on production origin, destination, shipment size, and the agreed Incoterm. Confirm the applicable term in the project quote.

Before you send the brief

Gather the tech pack, variant quantities, brand and label files, sample requirements, quality plan, and delivery location. Note open questions about Danish product labelling so a specialist can confirm the requirements and exceptions for the product.
