Private Label Clothing for German Brands
Plan a branded garment around a reviewable product brief, documented sample decisions and a shipment file prepared for the actual German import.
Fenalt coordinates private-label apparel production and manages manufacturing and sourcing from technical review through production coordination to delivery. Project partners depend on the requirements. Fenalt is a manufacturing solutions manager, not a factory directory or open marketplace.
Share a project briefProduct brief
Make the brand and product decisions explicit
For each style, describe intended use, fit, size range, construction, materials and known fibre composition, colours, trims, branding, labels and packaging. Add quantity by style, colour and size, the German delivery destination and desired timing. Attach the current tech pack or reference files and identify their version; mark settled requirements separately from open questions.
Images help explain direction but do not settle measurements, composition, construction or branding placement. Fenalt's standard minimum order reference is 50 pieces per style. Confirm how a style is defined and how quantities are split in the project quotation; do not assume separate styles can be combined toward one minimum.
Sampling and approval
Keep the approved sample tied to its specification
Agree which sample stage is under review and who approves it. Give specific feedback on fit, measurements, material hand-feel, colour, construction, branding placement and packaging. Record accepted changes in a dated specification revision, then use the approved sample and version as the shared production reference.
Sampling is estimated at 10–15 days for sample production plus a separate 3–5 days for shipping. Bulk production is estimated at 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. These planning references do not promise a German arrival date. Confirm the order schedule after requirements, partners, materials and approvals are reviewed.
Quality plan
Set checks against the written order criteria
Document the approved sample, measurement points, construction and material criteria, inspection scope, records and corrective-action process before production. Fenalt provides on-site quality control during production. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 General Inspection Level II applies only when included in the written inspection plan, which should state the sampling method and acceptance limits.
Deviations are reviewed against the agreed quality standard and appropriate corrective action is coordinated with the production partner. This is not a promise of defect-free goods or automatic replacement. Needle or metal detection can be incorporated where required by the product, buyer specification or production facility.
EU textile information
Review fibre information and German wording early
Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 governs fibre names and composition information for textile products within its scope. For multi-fibre products, names and percentages by weight are generally shown in descending order, subject to exceptions. Article 14 allows required fibre details for products supplied to economic operators to be replaced or supplemented by accompanying commercial documents under its conditions.
For consumer products made available in Germany, confirm product scope, channel, responsible operator and required German wording with a qualified specialist before approving label artwork. The B2B document provision is not a blanket label exemption. This page does not assess a garment or approve its labels.
REACH Annex XVII contains restrictions for specific substances and product conditions, including some entries relevant to textiles or clothing. Review the current entry, product and material scope, intended use, trims, finishes and supporting evidence. Fenalt does not guarantee regulatory compliance.
German import planning
Resolve customs and tax details for the shipment
Before dispatch, establish who is importer, declarant or representative, who arranges the declaration and whose EORI details are required. German Customs describes EORI as an identifier for economic operators dealing with customs authorities; roles and identifiers depend on the actual declaration.
Classification depends on garment details and origin. The European Commission's TARIC brings together EU tariff and related measures. Check current information against the correct classification and shipment. This preview assigns no code, duty rate, preferential origin result or permit requirement.
Confirm German import VAT treatment for the goods and transaction with the importer and tax adviser. This page gives no rate, recovery outcome or landed-cost quote. Delivery terms depend on origin, destination, shipment size and the agreed Incoterm. DAP may be used for small courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight, subject to order confirmation; no route or transit time is promised.
