Apparel Manufacturing for German Brands
From technical review to production coordination, a clear specification and approval process helps align product decisions with the intended production outcome.
Fenalt provides managed apparel manufacturing and sourcing. The team reviews requirements, coordinates samples and production with project-specific partners, and manages the process through delivery. Fenalt is an accountable manufacturing solutions manager, not a factory directory or open marketplace. Production location, partners and scope are confirmed for each project.
Start a production inquiryThe brief
Make decisions visible in the tech pack
Gather details about the product and intended use, construction, measurements, size range, materials and fibre composition, colours, trims, finishing, branding and packaging. Add quantities by style and colour, target market, delivery destination, timing and any known testing or documentation needs.
Separate settled requirements from open questions. Flag unconfirmed material values, measurements, colours, artwork placement and label copy. Reference images give context, but do not replace a production specification. Fenalt reviews the technical information and coordinates open feasibility questions with project partners.
Sampling and approval
Use approvals as shared reference points
Before review, agree which sample stage is being considered and who approves it. Give specific feedback on fit, measurements, material hand-feel, colour, construction, branding and packaging. Move agreed changes into a new specification version so the team works from the same information.
The approved sample and its specification provide a shared basis for production coordination. Later changes may affect sourcing, workflow, cost and timing; assess and confirm their effects for the project in writing. Sample approval does not guarantee every later unit or establish regulatory compliance.
Quality planning
Plan checks against the confirmed order
Clarify the specification, checks and escalation path before production starts. Fenalt coordinates production and provides on-site quality control during production. Fenalt lists AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II as an inspection reference; confirm the inspection plan and acceptance criteria for the specific order.
Deviations are reviewed against the agreed quality standard, with appropriate corrective action coordinated with the production partner. This is not a promise of defect-free goods or automatic replacement production. Needle or metal detection can be incorporated when required by the product, buyer specification or production facility.
Germany and the EU
Bring fibre labelling into product development
Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 covers, among other matters, fibre names and fibre-composition labelling for textile products made available on the EU market. For products made from multiple fibres, names and weight percentages are generally listed in descending order; the regulation includes exceptions. If a product will be offered to consumers in Germany, review the label and language for the specific product and sales channel before printing.
Carry the confirmed material composition into the tech pack, material approval and label artwork. The fibre-labelling regulation is not a complete assessment of other product requirements that may apply. This page is not legal advice and does not assess a particular garment for compliance.
Import planning
Resolve customs data separately from production approval
Before a cross-border shipment, clarify who acts as importer, who arranges the customs declaration and which product and shipment details are needed. Classification depends on the actual goods and their relevant characteristics. The European Commission provides TARIC, a database of EU tariff and trade measures. Use current information with the appropriate product classification and shipment details. This page does not state a duty rate or classify goods.
