Specify the garment before sourcing
Describe garment use, fit and size range, construction, verified fibre content, colours, trims, label artwork, brand placement and packaging. Split quantities by style, colour and size; name destination and timing. Attach the current tech pack, identify its controlling version, and mark decisions that need sample review or feasibility confirmation.
Fenalt coordinates private-label production through managed manufacturing and sourcing with factories, suppliers, material sources and production partners selected for each project. Fenalt does not claim to own Australian factories or promise local production. Confirm scope, partner availability, origin, materials and commercial terms for each order.
Brand files and sampling
Keep approval records connected
List labels, tags, artwork, prints, embroidery, trims and packaging with versions and placements. Agree who approves each sample and how they assess measurements, fit, colour, construction and branding. Keep accepted changes in a dated specification revision linked to the approved sample.
Quantity and quality
Treat time and inspection as scoped planning
Fenalt’s standard minimum-order reference is 50 pieces per style. Sample production is estimated at 10–15 days plus a separate 3–5 days for shipping. Bulk production is estimated at 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. These are not arrival-date guarantees for Australia; confirm the schedule in the quotation.
Write down the approved sample, measurements and tolerances, material and construction criteria, inspection scope, records and corrective-action process. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 General Inspection Level II applies only when method and acceptance limits are in the written plan. It does not promise unit-by-unit inspection or defect-free output. Fenalt provides on-site quality control; confirm what the order includes.
Australian product and import checks
Review care information and origin separately
The ACCC lists the Consumer Goods (Care Labelling) Information Standard 2023 as mandatory for prescribed clothing and textile products. It allows English instructions, internationally recognised care symbols, or both, and has product exclusions. Have a qualified reviewer check the current standard against the exact garment. See the ACCC care-labelling guidance.
Consumer origin claims must be true, accurate and supported by reasonable grounds under ACCC guidance. The ACCC also says Australian Consumer Law generally does not require non-food products to carry country-of-origin labels, although other laws may apply. Import trade descriptions are separate. ABF lists textile products and apparel among covered imports; for covered goods, the description must state in English where the goods were made or produced, in prominent, legible characters. Placement can vary for prepacked goods and other cases, so check the current ABF labelling rules against the actual garment and packaging.
The importer should classify the garment and check current tariff measures and origin evidence using ABF tariff information. Confirm whether the importation is taxable and how GST applies with the importer or adviser using ATO import GST guidance. No blanket code, duty or tax result is stated.
Shipment handover
Name the place and responsibilities
DAP may be used for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight when confirmed for the order. State the place or port, transport responsibility, importer and responsibility for import charges. These terms do not determine freight price, landed cost or Australian arrival date.
Before approval, gather the controlling specification, variant quantities, brand files, approved sample, written quality plan, label review, classification and origin evidence, and destination. Australian product/customs/tax specialist, Fenalt fact-owner, route and publication approvals remain pending. Review Fenalt’s services.
