Low-MOQ Clothing Manufacturing for UAE Brands
Plan a smaller clothing run around the product, quantities by style, sample approvals, quality checks and the import questions that need local confirmation. Fenalt coordinates custom apparel production through partners selected for each project. Production origin, materials, methods and terms depend on the brief and confirmation; Fenalt does not claim to own factories or manufacture in the UAE.
Prepare a UAE production briefRun planning
Set quantities by style and component
Fenalt’s standard minimum-order reference is 50 pieces per style. This is a planning baseline, not a guarantee that every fabric, colour, print, embroidery, trim or size split is available at that quantity. List units for each style, colour and size, and ask the quote to state how the minimum applies to the actual material and processes.
Include in the first brief
- Product description, current tech pack and intended use
- Reference images, measurements and tolerances
- Quantities by style, colour and size
- Known material composition, weight and construction
- Print, embroidery, labels and packaging artwork
- Sample approvers and target project window
- Inspection criteria and unresolved assumptions
- Delivery destination and proposed importer
The intended use and sales channel help clarify product requirements; they do not establish one preferred style or product for everyone in the UAE. Describe what this specific garment needs to do.
Development and approvals
Keep one current specification through sampling
- Review the brief. Check what is complete and list open questions about construction, fabric, colour, quantities and finishing.
- Confirm options. Compare requested materials and processes with options that need project-specific availability and capacity confirmation.
- Review a sample. Where development is needed, coordinate a sample to assess measurements, fabric, colour, construction and branding; record comments against the current specification.
- Approve before bulk. Confirm the size chart, materials, artwork, labels, packaging and inspection points in writing. Sample approval alone does not confirm bulk capacity or continuing material availability.
Planning and quality
Treat dates and inspection as order references
Fenalt’s sampling reference is 10–15 days for sample production, plus a separate 3–5 days for sample shipping. Bulk production is referenced at 15–20 days from pre-production sample sign-off to export dispatch. These periods are not a full transit estimate or guaranteed UAE arrival date. Confirm dates against the project’s materials, revisions, approvals, capacity and transport plan.
Where agreed for the order, the inspection reference is AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II. AQL is statistical sampling, not inspection of every garment or a zero-defect promise. Record the lot, inspection stage, sample size, defect categories, acceptance criteria and corrective-action process in the quality plan.
Product information
Ask a UAE specialist to review the actual garment
UAE materials describe a textile-product control scheme that may cover listed products, including new ready-to-wear clothing, subject to scope and exclusions. The current rules and any conformity, testing or label steps depend on product coverage. Before approving labels or packaging, ask a UAE product-compliance specialist to confirm the current requirements for this garment and who is responsible. This page states no universal language, fibre-content or origin-marking rule and makes no product-compliance claim.
See UAE Cabinet Resolution No. 54 of 2019 and ask a qualified local reviewer to confirm its current scope for the product.
Import review
Confirm classification and tax for the shipment
Identify the importer and prepare accurate product, quantity, value, origin and destination details. The UAE Central Customs Tariff System supports commodity lookup, duty estimation and restriction checks; the result depends on accurate classification and shipment circumstances. Ask the importer’s UAE customs representative to confirm the code, origin evidence, entry jurisdiction, any applicable procedure or exemption, and free-zone or mainland handling. A general page cannot establish a garment tariff or landed cost.
The Federal Tax Authority explains that import VAT treatment depends on relevant goods and importer circumstances. Confirm the transaction with the competent authority or a qualified UAE tax adviser. This page provides no rate, exemption, recovery outcome or tax calculation for a particular buyer. Refer to the Central Customs Tariff System and the FTA’s taxable-supply guidance.
Delivery terms
Name the place and responsibilities in the quote
Fenalt’s approved commercial reference is DAP for small-batch courier shipments and FOB Chattogram for bulk sea freight. These are qualified examples, not fixed terms for every order. Routing and terms depend on production origin, destination, shipment size and the agreed Incoterm. The written quote should name the place or port, state the applicable Incoterms edition, and clarify who handles clearance, import charges and local delivery. No DDP or transit-time commitment is made here.
Prepare a brief the team can review
Share the product description or tech pack, quantities by style and colour, size range, material and branding requirements, sample expectations, inspection points and delivery location. Identify the proposed importer and list product-information, classification or clearance questions for local review. The team can then identify missing details before preparing a project-specific quotation.
