Prepare one approved product brief
Use a dated specification with measurements, tolerances, materials, trims, colour, labels, packaging and destination. Mark open items, list quantities by style, colour and size, and name sample, change and inspection approvers.
Confirm the order mix and production gates
Fenalt’s approved minimum is 50 pieces per style. Planning references are 10–15 days for sample production plus 3–5 days for shipping, then 15–20 days from sample approval to export dispatch. These are not UAE arrival dates or delivery guarantees. AQL 2.5 under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 Level II is a sampling method, not a defect-free guarantee.
Check the relevant emirate and product requirements
Customs registration and classification can differ by emirate and route. Dubai Customs says businesses using its services need registration; Abu Dhabi Customs lists Smart HS and advance-ruling services; confirm current availability, the responsible authority, customs code and required documents for the entry point. MoIAT lists conformity services for products subject to technical regulations; check whether the garment is in scope instead of assuming a universal certificate.
- Identify the importer, emirate, mainland or free-zone route and customs broker.
- Check HS classification and origin with the relevant authority; request a ruling if appropriate.
- Confirm invoice, packing, origin and any shipment-specific permit or certificate.
- Ask MoIAT or a local specialist about applicable technical or label rules.
- Record the named place or port, freight, clearance, charges and responsibilities.
Keep Fenalt’s role and delivery terms explicit
Fenalt coordinates sourcing and production through a managed partner network; it is not a factory directory or owner of every site. Approved references describe DAP for some small courier orders and FOB Chattogram for some bulk sea freight. Confirm the exact Incoterm, place or port, costs and responsibilities in the quotation.
